Health Promoting School In June Markethill was awarded Commitment level under Aberdeenshire’s Health Promoting Schools accreditation scheme. The health Working Group, which includes, pupils, parents, staff and a health visitor, is currently producing an action plan to encourage more physical activity. This is as a result of the survey the group carried out before Christmas.

Global Footprints P7/6 undertook a major environmental review project in 2006/2007. Both P7 classes will be carrying out a Global Footprints Review in 2008. They will work closely with the Eco Committee. |

Eco School Markethill set up an Eco Committee with pupils from P4. In 2008 the committee will be extended to include pupils from P2-P7. They will carry out an environmental review in the designated areas and will produce an action plan for Markethill School. |
